If you are looking to put on some size or gain some weight for the upcoming season then this shake is sure to help out. This weight gainer shake not only tastes great it weighs in at nearly 3000 calories! With that many calories, it can pack on the weight quick! It’s also great when you are in that mid season grind and you are not eating enough between studying, athletics, class, and friends…and will help maintain that weight you worked hard to put on in the offseason.

Ingredients for Weight Gainer Shake

  1. 2 Cups Half & Half

  3. A few tablespoons Chocolate Syrup (you can also substitute grape or strawberry jelly for a pb&j taste)
  4. A scoop of Protein Powder or Other Weight Gainer of your choice.
  5. 2 tbs of Coconut oil
  6. One banana

Schedules are out and the shop is open!

Hey guys!  The official schedules are up!  Check them out here:  We are super excited for this weekend.  The weather looks great!

We also wanted to let you know the MSM shop has reopened for a short period of time.  If you missed out on getting an awesome hoodie or just want an extra shirt now is your chance to order.  We will keep the store open until Monday or Tuesday after the tournament.

Our vendors are awesome so after we place the order we should have your gear quickly.  We will schedule a pick up time since everyone is local so we don’t have to charge shipping.  Happy Shopping!

See you this weekend!

Extending Frisco Closing to Sunday Morning

extendedWe are Extending Closing until Sunday Morning at 9am for Frisco Division

We got a lot of email from parents asking if we can hold it open over the weekend in order to recruit a little bit more to make those complete pure teams. I had been telling everyone no, but we one of our vendors let us extend…so we are going to extend to you! We are open until Sunday Morning! So if I originally told you no…I am sorry. We are back on!

North Texas Division Notes

6th grade is ready to go, so now its time to get rolling. Go ahead and officially sign up please.  7th and 8th grade, please continue to sign up on the interest list. These look very promising as well. Fingers crossed!

Registration for Frisco Division Closes Tomorrow Night & More…

closingsoonFrisco Registration Close Tomorrow Night

The lists were updated this afternoon and we still have a ways to go so please get those registrations in! This is shaping up to be a great year but there are still a few schools that just need one or two players.

Division Two (North Texas Division) is growing!

6th grade is going to make for sure but now we have a big push for 7th and 8th grade as well. For this division we are still going to take ‘interest’ forms over the weekend but 6th grade can go ahead and register now. If something happens we will always give you a refund. No worries. This is going to be really exciting.

First Annual Catcher Gear Time Trail Coming Soon!

There are a lot of catchers on these teams! To celebrate that we have a special video contest coming up for a chance to win some MSM gear. Stay tuned for updates

It’s Rocket Surgery (or how are teams formed for MSM?)

Because of it’s unique nature, building teams and divisions for the Middle School Matchup is a very fluid process. With individual sign ups, uniforms, finding coaches and building rosters we are pretty much piecing together a league just for one weekend. It’s a little crazy.

But there is a method to our madness….promise.

Currently we have a Frisco Division and a North Texas division.  We might be breaking up the North Texas Division into two divisions this year.  A division will need to have at least 4 teams at a grade level to play ball but not all grades have to make. Ex. if 6th grade has 4 teams and 7th and 8th only have a couple. We will still crown a champ for 6th grade.

We will do everything we can to build a team with registered players. All teams are formed by grade, meaning no one is playing up or down.

Below is the general hierarchy of how teams will be formed. From the tightest, most true middle school team to a more broad city based team.

  1. One or more teams per grade/middle school.  When a school gets 9 players. We got a team! If enough kiddos register, two teams will be formed. Rosters will be built via draft/discussion by the two coaches then approved by the tournament director. This may result in an A and B team or two pretty evenly matched teams based on talent available.
  2. One team per High School. If we can’t build a team for the middle school we will combine with other kids that all feed to the same high school. Ex. Cobb Middle School vs Centennial High (two middle schools). These teams still will wear their school colors and still play next to their buddies. It works out great.
  3. City wide team. If we can’t form a team by high school. We will form it by City or possibly by some boundary like East vs West. Again, players will still wear team colors and play next to their middle school teammates.
  4. If we can’t build a team in any other creative way a team will not be formed.

Now for the REALLY hard part. Team size, Roster caps and why you need to be ready to sign up when the gates open!

Some of the teams were just too big the first year, with rosters up to 15 kids. We got feedback that is just too much and too hard to get every kid some playing time. With that we will lowered the cap to something more reasonable, 13 players per team. Players that miss the cap will have two options:

1. Drop down and play with a highschool team or a city team if applicable.
2. Get a refund.

The rosters are first come first served based on registration sign up time stamp (not the who’s coming). However, we are also extending front of the line privileges to parents and players that believed in this idea last year. Be prepared to sign up right when the gates open. The spots will fill REALLY quick.

So if you are looking at the who’s coming list (or the paid list when it opens) and you see 15 kids….go get more!! Guarantee your spot and build two teams!

2013 News From Middle School Match Up

hardtobeatWe are working hard here behind the scenes to make this years tournament as big a success as last year!  We have some exciting things and important information to share with you.

The tentative dates for Middle School Match Up 2013 are November 8th – 10th.  We are working hard to secure fields in Frisco.

This year we are adding a new kick off event that will probably be held November 3rd.  During this event we will have a check in time where teams check in and receive jerseys. We will hold the home run derby during this event.  It’s going to be a fun kick off party with a DJ, possible vendors, and more!

Late September we will open the official paid registration.

Who’s coming list
While this list may not seem important to you right now since it isn’t the official registration, please sign up.  We use this list to gage how many players we have and how much marketing we need to do to each school to make sure we have a team for every grade.  This list also helps us in getting accurate numbers so we can get better quotes for shirts, etc, which saves you money!

Also, based on our interest list for this year we can already tell that we are going to have almost all pure school teams.  It looks like we won’t be mixing any schools by high school like we did last year.  If you want a team for your school grade please share the event!  The only schools that are a little behind and might not make currently are Hunt, Scoggins, and Maus.  There is still plenty of time though!

Freshmen that played last year
We realize that we are sending this info to freshmen who played in the tournament as 8th graders last year.  We won’t keep you on the list for much longer but we did want to let you know that if you would like to volunteer to help out this year we will be signing credit that will go towards your volunteer hours needed to graduate!  We will have several opportunities available like helping with the homerun derby, fun stuff!

Early registration
As a special thank you to all the players that played last year we are going to offer you early registration a day early.  We will send a special link and code to all of last years players.

We really try not to send to many emails.  We put all new information, updates, fun player interviews and more on our facebook!  Please like it to stay up to date with the absolute latest scoop!

The sign up link to coach will be live very soon!  We will send an email to everyone that coached last year and that has shown interest coaching this year.  Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for making this one of the coolest events ever! We are so excited!
